Our first product is a small vital signs monitor integrated a wearable device. It is designed for critically ill newborns being cared for in hospitals in low-resource countries. We re-engineered clinically validated technologies into a simple, novel multiparameter sensor array that measures heart rate, respiratory rate, blood oxygen saturation, and temperature. The low-power sensors use rechargeable batteries, and wirelessly transmit data to a central monitor which alerts nurses when a newborn is in distress. We are currently hard at work advancing our prototypes and integrating user feedback from a recent visit to Uganda, and are excited to share the system soon.
